The opening event of Sculptures in the Garden is always a momentous occasion for art enthusiasts and the Mudgee community alike. We are delighted that David Handley AM, the visionary behind Sculpture by the Sea, will officially open Sculptures in the Garden and announce the acquisition prizes in October 2024.  

With determination and a mere $400 marketing budget in its inaugural year, David transformed Sculpture by the Sea into the world's largest and most beloved annual sculpture exhibition, drawing over 450,000 visitors to the stunning Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk. 

David’s remarkable success story, coupled with his commitment to community engagement and corporate social responsibility, promises an enlightening and memorable opening ceremony.
