Join us for a special event at Sculptures in the Garden as we welcome back esteemed journalist, author, and editor of Galah magazine, Annabelle Hickson. On Saturday, 19th October, Annabelle will present and sign copies of her latest book, Galah: Stories of Life Outside the City. This beautiful visual and written anthology takes readers on a journey through regional Australia, showcasing stories that highlight the diversity, creativity, and resilience of rural communities.
Hickson’s book, divided into six themed chapters, features the voices of over 50 talented writers, photographers, and artists, capturing life across the farms, towns, coast, and outback. This compelling collection celebrates the stunning landscapes and the vibrant spirit of the people who call these areas home.
Annabelle will be joined by host Lucy White for an engaging discussion on her work and inspirations at 11am. Afterward, visitors can purchase Galah: Stories of Life Outside the City from local bookstore The Book Nest and have it signed by Annabelle herself. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore a fresh perspective on life beyond the city and celebrate the unique beauty of rural Australia!
