Delivery & Installation

Work Health & Safety is an important part of delivering Sculptures in the Garden safely and successfully. We ask all exhibiting artists to take care during the installation, exhibition and removal of artworks, and to follow the requirements below to help protect themselves, our team, volunteers, visitors and the Rosby property. By exhibiting at Sculptures in the Garden, each artist agrees to comply with the following WHS requirements.

• Due to the number of vehicles on site during installation and removal all vehicle access to the site is to be coordinated and approved by the Site Managers.
• Artists to adhere to venue roadways at all times unless approved by Site Managers.
• Artists to wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
• Weight limit for lifting is 30kg per person. Artwork over this limit is to be carried out by hoists, trolleys, cranes or more than one person.
• Safe Lifting practices to be adhered to at all times.
• No digging or disturbance to the ground unless approved by the Site Managers.
• Use of power tools on site is limited to cordless hand tools unless approved by Site Managers. All tools to be used in accordance with manufacturers safety
  recommendations.
• No welding or grinding of works to take place on site unless approved by Site Managers.
• For artworks considered high risk, or over size, an engineer’s certificate certifying safe construction and installation is to be provided.
• Cranes and or ladders or lifts are to be used for artworks that require installation from height and artists should familiarize themselves with and abide by all Work Cover material. If required by law all appropriate licenses are to be held.
• Ladders if used should be tied off and positioned on stable, level ground and used in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Individual sites to be checked for location of overhead power lines and vegetation prior to installation.
• The exhibition site is a working rural property and care should be taken if wildlife encountered.
• Any artworks with sharp edges or protruding edges that may cause harm is to be be appropriately signed or barricaded by the Artist
