Sculptures in the Garden invites emerging and established artists from across Australia to exhibit as part of our annual outdoor sculpture exhibition in Mudgee, NSW. Showcase your work alongside a diverse collection of contemporary sculpture, connect with collectors and visitors, and be considered for a range of acquisitive and non-acquisitive awards.

How to Enter
Entering Sculptures in the Garden is simple. Follow the steps below to make sure you have everything ready before submitting your application.

All artists must read and agree to the Sculptures in the Garden Terms & Conditions before submitting an entry.

Review the Public Art Brief
If you would like your work to be considered for the major acquisitive awards and permanent public art collection, please read the Public Art Brief carefully to understand the additional requirements.

Prepare Your Submission
Have your artwork details, images, artist statement and artist biography ready before beginning your online entry.

Artists wishing to be considered for public art acquisition should review the Public Art Brief for eligibility, installation, safety and maintenance requirements.
Important Dates
Your 2026 Artist Timeline
31 July 2026 – Submissions close at midnight
14 August 2026 – Selected finalists announced
5–8 October 2026 – Installation of selected works
9 October 2026 – Major prizes announced
10 October 2026 – Exhibition opens at 10am
25 October 2026 – People’s Choice Award announced
25 October 2026 – Exhibition closes at 4pm
25–26 October 2026 – Removal and collection of works
Selected artists will be allocated a specific installation date between 5 and 8 October.
Submission Information
Before You Enter
All submitted works are considered by the Sculptures in the Garden selection panel, whose decision on accepted works is final.
Works submitted for consideration must:
- Be the original work of the submitting artist.
- Be professionally finished and suitable for public exhibition.
- Be available for exhibition and sale throughout the event.
- Not have previously been entered into other exhibitions.
- Meet all relevant exhibition and safety requirements.
- Be installed and removed within the allocated event timeframes.
Artists are required to provide quality images of their work together with an artist statement, biography and all information requested as part of the entry process.
Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified following the selection process.
Pricing Your Work
Artists are encouraged to carefully consider the value of their work, including materials, scale and time involved in its creation, when determining the sale price.
Once the exhibition catalogue has been published, works cannot be discounted, so it is important to establish an appropriate price from the outset.
Travel Assistance
All works entered into Sculptures in the Garden are offered for sale. The Sculptures in the Garden Travel Fund provides financial assistance towards travel and installation costs for a number of successful exhibiting artists travelling to Mudgee. Applications are assessed with consideration given to the artist’s location, transport and installation costs, and the scale and complexity of the artwork.
